February is the month of love and passion, and since red is the color typically associated with affairs of the heart is it appropriate for your boudoir?
Although red is stimulating, exciting, increases enthusiasm, energy, your heartbeat, and your respiration, it can be too powerful for a room meant for rest and love. Use it sparingly for accessories, and of course, red roses are always an appropriate embellishment.
Just one rose handed to a woman with a loving and warm gaze shows tenderness and love better than a large bouquet. Think instead about incorporating a few small accessories to add a punch of color rather than painting your bedroom walls in an intense and passionate red.
The perfect place to use red is your front door according to Feng Shui experts. Here is one of my favorite hues from Benjamin Moore ®: Ladybug Red 1322
Benjamin Moore Gypsy Love 2085-30 is a slightly cooler hue that doesn’t overpower.
If you select a red for your dining room, it may encourage lively conversations, but watch out for the ultra-intense crimsons and scarlets…

Select a red with a gray or as in Gypsy Red shown above, a blue undertone can minimize the overstimulation your guests might feel.
Of course you can always wear a sexy red dress, or drive a red sports car instead of integrating dramatic colors into your home.
